I grew up in Jenks America, graduated in 1998. I have been married to my incredible husband for almost 19 years but we’ve been together over half our lives. I have 3 teenage daughters that keep me very busy! My oldest, Chanistie (Chan) is 18 and currently enrolled in Culinary School at Tulsa Tech. My middle, Cayla is 16 and a Junior at Broken Arrow. She plans to go to Colorado State for Vet Med after she graduates. My youngest, Jillian is a sophomore at Broken Arrow just living her best life as a Tigette on Broken Arrow Pom team. We also own a martial arts school in Broken Arrow and my husband is an incredible instructor. I tell everyone, martial arts is a MUST for everyone! I’ve seen it turn kids lives around in so many positive ways. It’s more then just an activity. It creates in them passion, control, confidence, integrity and so much more!
I worked in the Escrow business for 5 years. My mom begged me to leave my position to help her fulfill her dream as a Wedding Venue owner. She succeeded that goal and I was given the opportunity to work alongside my amazing mom, many talented vendors and some of the sweetest couples and families I’ve ever met! We ran a successful venue for over 14 years when my mom decided to retire and sell her business. It wasn’t my dream even though I enjoyed every minute of it. I decided to follow my moms great advise she’s told so many along the way. “You are never to old to live your dream” So here I am, middle aged learning something new and loving every minute of it!
I always loved looking at open houses after church on Sunday. My mom would take me to ALL of them on the hunt for new design ideas or our next house to flip. My mom has an amazing eye for design and she would buy HUD houses and flip them while we lived there. I moved about 18 times within the 21 years of being at home. (Also here for packing and moving tips)
Favorite Tulsa restaurant - It truly depends on my mood. I’m a southern girl who grew up with everything deep fried and covered in gravy so I’m always down for good home cooking but I do love to get all dressed up and go somewhere fancy too. Probably the best steak I’ve ever had was from Bull In The Alley. If you haven’t been, it’s a must try!
I love entertaining and throwing parties in my home. I love coming up with themes and going ALL out! (My kids have had some pretty amazing parties) I also love to travel! We’ve been blessed to have some pretty phenomenal trips. Hiking is a passion of mine but not my families so if you enjoy hiking, hit me up! I need a hiking buddy.
Favorite quote/scripture/etc. and why. - Currently standing on Esther 4:14, “Perhaps you were made for such a time as this” It’s a powerful reminder for myself and my 3 teenage daughters that we were designed and destined for greatness and we are here in this time on purpose, so are you dear one!
